Programs
A socialization program for Willow Brook Class Consumers. Program meets Tuesday and Thursday Evenings from 4:00pm – 9:00pm and Sat. from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Consumers have a choice of board games, gym, arts & crafts activities in which to engage. Core services include: meals and transportation.
Family support programs for consumers who reside in the community with family members. The programs operate Saturdays and Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm. Sewing, cooking, music and dance are the major activities. Transportation: is available.
A program that provides in-home habilitation services, Consumers work on goals and go out into the community for integrative activities.
A home work assistance and recreation program for 12 to 21 year old school enrolled consumers. The program follows the New York City school calendar, September through June. Transportation, provided from the program site to the consumer’s home and meals are the core services.
A seasonal program serving developmentally disabled adults. The program helps to improve consumers’ socialization and motor skills. The program operates September through June. Competitive games among teams begin in January.
The vacation club provides recreational activities, trips, and academic assistance while the consumers are on vacation from school during spring break, Christmas and/or winter recess.
Project Career is an extended day program for participants whose caregivers work or have to engage in other family related activities.
The Accent Café is an extended day program for Bronx residents whose caregivers work or have to engage in other family related activities.
Provided to more than 400 Children through three Day Care Programs and Youth Village Family Day Care Program.
SEBNC sponsors two Affordable Fee-Based Programs providing year-round educational programs (Minds Unlimited and McKinley Afterschool) which provide afterschool programming during the school year and Day Camps during the Summer Months. The program’s goal is to enlighten and enhance participant’s education, through academic enrichment, recreational and cultural activities.
"Jobs for Youth" is an Academic Enhancement, Career Exploration and Job Readiness Program. The primary goal of JFY is to assist young adults, ages 17 – 21 (both In-School & Out-of-School), in defining their Career and Educational Goals while increasing Marketable Skills through classroom, Computer Assisted Learning and Work-Based activities.
Provides after school services, including homework assistance, tutoring, reading enhancement, recreation, cultural awareness activities and special events for youth in grades 6th-8th. An eight week summer camp provides structured academic, recreational, cultural activities and field trips for community youth.
A year-round, school based program designed to help high school youth build vital academic, personal, and work place skills, explore their interests, and gain exposure to a range of career and higher educational options.
Five day week programs designed to assist participants live integrated and productive lives through community service, participation in community events and the cultural life of the community.
